brought this car from Germany in 2006. Previous owner brought this from
Dallas, Texas, USA in 1999. Previous owners have maintained this car as
original as possible and my intension is the same.

Story of My Car

It all begins in Tuesday 17th
of March 1970, when this car was built. This was only two weeks before
I was born, so it was more or less fate that this is going to be my car
some day.

second hint about my upcoming car was given me back in 1982 when I
first saw the movie Vanishing Point in television. We have just bought
our first VCR and this movie was one of the first movies I recorded
from the television. I was of course excited about the movie since the
beginning and especially about the Dodge Challenger R/T 440 Magnum,
which was the main star of that movie together with Barry Newman alias
Kowalski! Unfortunately somebody taped few Dallas episodes on that same
VHS tape and erased my favorite movie.

third hint about the upcoming Challenger was given me when I bought my
first car in 1988. It was Opel Kadett 1.2 L with 55 Horse power! Engine
performance was not even from the same planet as in the Challenger but
look at the color and stripes:

it was quiet almost 20 years but finally it hit the big time. In spring
2006 cable TV showed the movie I almost had forgotten… almost. Yep,
they showed The Vanishing Point and this time I put it to Hard Drive in
my Digital Box and in the very safe folder. After watching this movie
numerous times I decided to start searching my car… and there it was
in the Website just waiting for me. After having negotiations with the
owner and planning the transportation, we made the deal in the summer
of 2006.

received the car in the late summer of 2006 and after that I registered
it. Now waiting many more prosperous years for my Challenger!
